Who's paying for what?
Did you know that an average wedding designed for 200 guests maximum can costs around $20,000?
That maybe a lot especially for average couples. Studies show that the first step in planning a wedding is determining who's paying for what to avoid disagreements during the planning stage and possible misunderstanding between couples.
In the US, the following are the expenses usually paid by the bride and her family:
Wedding gown, accessories, and shoes
Wedding invitations
Bridal consultant's fee
Videography
Photography
Ceremony and reception costs
Gifts to the flowergirls and bridesmaids
Transportation and/or accommodations for the bride's family, flowergirls, and bridesmaids
On the other hand, the groom and his family will normally shoulder the following:
Groom's attire including shoes and other accessories
Groomsmen and ushers attire
Wedding and engagement rings
Transportation and/or accommodations for the ushers, groomsmen, and groom's family.
Honeymoon expenses
Rehearsal and bachelor dinners.
Marriage license, physical exams, and blood tests costs
Happy Planning!! :)
