Planning or organizing a wedding can be both fun and stressful at the same time. This is because some couples do not have the slightest idea about wedding details. To save the couples from the pain of organizing a perfect wedding, they hire wedding planner. So what does a wedding planner exactly do?

1. Assist couples in setting realistic budget based on the wedding theme and number of guests.

2. Do the dirty work of haggling over prices and looking for bargains to offer the lowest price possible.

3. Establish timeline on when to do what and what should be done when.

4. Gives advance notification on what to pay when.

5. Handle table linens, favors, decorations, and flowers for proper coordination.

6. Organize everything for everything to work smoothly from the bride walking down the aisle down to the bouquet tossing.

If you do not know much about wedding and how to plan your own, it is advisable to get a wedding planner. It is more costly to do things on your own if you don't even know where to start.. Good luck!!

My husband and I planned all our own wedding in 2001, from picking the Registry Office, the Reception - and we got the Reception venue for nothing, so we can't have been that bad. We then went on to cook and prepare all the food on the morning of the wedding, set up tables and decorate reception. I made all the flowers - for myself and bridesmaid, and all corsages and buttonholes. We also did our own music at the reception. I defy anyone to tell me they could have got it cheaper than what we managed on.
